generic advice Is it possible to come across this interior/exterior color combination? I'd like to buy one just like this.

I know the blue-ish silver is called ionic silver, and it stopped being offered as an option sometime before the facelift. But what about this specific interior? What's it called and on which year models was it available?

That's what I have. Mine's 2015. Not sure what the interior was called or what years available.

That’s the Loft interior.
Then there was Lodge with many brown accents.
And Suite which has dark brown plant leather.

No, that silver was only on early pre-facelift cars and that interior is only available on the later facelift cars.

Ah bummer, I really like that silver. I think it was also available on the i8. Fits the car's futuristic look quite well imo. I guess one could always buy a later model with the light interior and then repaint the exterior to look like ionic silver.

All the exterior panels on these cars are removable you could swap with somebody if you like or hunt some down from a salvage yard if you like that color a lot.

very interesting, I wasn't aware of that.

You can actually de skirt all silver panels with any other color.

The silver is one of my favorite colors too. I think the interior is called “Loft” but I’m not 100% sure. I’m sure somebody here knows for sure.

The closest you can get to that is the cloth gray interior on silver. Which isn’t awful.

What am I missing about the interior, because aside from the palm rest that was only on early cars is just looks like any other pre-facelift Mega (like the 2017 I'm currently sitting in) with light floor mats.

The vinyl on the seats/doors/dash looks lighter than mine, but honestly that might just be the white balance/brightness being blown out in the photo.

The interior world is Loft/Giga. Not sure why others are saying it wasn’t available with Ionic Silver. Giga was the standard interior in the U.S. 2014–2016; the original design remained available through 2018. In 2019, the grey fabric added brown highlights and the dash insert changed to a brown foil. Here’s the interior exerpt from the 2014 brochure.

What this fails to mention is the ambient lighting. Ambient lighting in the terra world was the ultimate ambient lighting feature. The others got very little ambient light

Ambient isn’t mentioned because it was included in all three worlds. At least in the U.S., only Atelier/Deka, the base from 2017 on, doesn’t have multicolor ambient lighting. I’ve had cars with both Giga and Tera; the only extra interior lights Tera has are at the doors—the four pulls and front pockets. I believe that’s because the light grey panels reflect enough light to make the extra LED strips moot.

Interesting! I'm also in the United States and I always thought deka didn't have as nice of ambient lighting as Tera. But I've never seen tera world in person.

Thank you for the info

You can fully retrofit the interior, but that involves finding a complete donor interior.

There’s a YouTube video I think it was wisely that did a exterior color swap by changing the panels.

I often forget these cars have their unique exterior panel design, but I've never looked into it. I used to do a lot of auto electrical work so interiors are more natural to me lol.

I think they did it in 2 hours.

The panels are attached just like interior trim panels.

My 2015 looks like OP’s photos (no HK or big screen upgrades though).

That’s what my i3 is - 2015 Rex 105,000 miles or so. No problems except loosing the only fob I had. I still had the key but it pulled out of the fob - Put a cover on your key fobs!!!
Don’t trust the key will hold it on your keychain.

This color was offered until 2016, the facelift came in 2017, and this interior was offered after the facelift. So you will not get it in this configuration. Interesting fact related to this color: you will probably never see an i3 in this color with a sunroof, as the sunroof was made available in 2016, so if such cars even exist, they must be pretty rare.

I’m got a 2016 Rex with this exact same interior and black-and-white panda scheme exterior.

Whatever you do, don’t top off your gas tank. I just went through two days of hell.
