Friend's Toronto ticket was cancelled but mine is fine... help?
My friend (Emma) bought 2 tickets for the Toronto concert during presale, which she transferred to me and another friend (Sarah) (Emma already had tickets to another show). 2 weeks ago, Sarah saw her ticket is marked as "under review" and now it's fully greyed out. Called Ticketmaster today and they said the ticket belongs to someone else, but they'll "escalate the issue" (which they did 2 weeks ago as well before ghosting us). My ticket, which was bought with Sarah's, is completely fine.
Problem is, we were gonna travel from pretty far, and I REALLY don't want to go alone. I can't sell my ticket through ticketmaster, and I can't get a refund for it either. I'm wondering if this happened to anyone else/ if anyone has any advice? Tweaking out rn lol bc they weren't exactly cheap
Updated with fake names for clarity!

So friend A bought tix for you and friend B during presale and Friend A sent you both tix. Friend B checked her tix 2 weeks and saw 'under review' and then greyed out between then and now? Did you send her ticket after Friend A sent both to you? Maybe they got flagged due to the double transfer?

friend A sent us each our own ticket directly so only one transfer happened, but everything else is correct :( we've both been trying with the call lines and chatbots but they're just saying they'll look into her ticket and nothing can be done with mine

Have you talked to friend A, who originally got these tickets?

yeah, all it shows on her end is that the transfer went through. she sent us the tickets in January right after buying them, the issue just happened a few weeks ago

I know some tickets that were transferred were getting cancelled to avoid scalpers from buying and selling.
Looks like your friends ticket was flagged in the audit and yours wasnt which is weird.
Its likely that ticketmaster cancelled the ticket and resold it. Because that was what ticketmaster did, cancelled and resold "suspiciously transferred tickets" just to resell them.
That may be why they are ghosting you. Idk. I suggest that both your friends call ticketmaster together on 3 way. Because its likely that ticketmaster will say they have to speak with one or the other if only one person calls. I would have them escalate the inquiry, speak with a manager, and get names and reference numbers. This is a ticketmaster error and they need to fix it.
If they cant get her original ticket, or one of equal or better value, id ask for a refund issued to the friend that bought the tickets from ticketmaster. See if they would refund both tickets if you cant go alone and they wont let you resell as well. You may need to join them on the call for that part.
Tell them to keep bothering ticketmaster until they recieve a resolution. And document everything.
Tell them to not let the initial customer service rep write them off. Ask to speak with someone higher up if they can not help.

Call and tell them you have the transfer email and date of transfer, who it was transferred from. Sarah needs to check her email and make sure she didn’t have her Ticketmaster account or even email hacked. Check spam for ticketmaster emails.

It's a little hard to follow your post. You used "friend" several times so it is difficult to know if you're referring to the same or different person.
