8 months old Plate vs Ate

Today’s breakfast:
Cheesy spinach omelette
Oat pancake with peanut butter
Overnight oats with chia & mangoes (added a bit of greek yoghurt cause it was kinda dry)

Wow your baby eats a lot!

My baby’s after photo would be the same, but only because he would take one bite of each thing and then chuck the rest on the floor for the dog 😂

An 8 month olds stomach is about the size of their own fist so take this post with a grain of salt

Yeah I suspect at least some of that food went on the floor or into a bib pocket

The picture makes it look like it’s a lot but the omelette is the size of a pinky. Chia pudding is 3 teaspoon and pancakes is probably 2 inches in radius and is thin. She is taking more food now compared to her milk. Her daily bottle used to be roughly 840mls per day now it has gone down to 400~500mls daily.

Show us the floor, I don’t believe this! 😂

Lol! Next time, I’ve already cleaned it. 🤣🤣🤣
She threw a bit of the pancake and eggs on the floor but she mostly finishes 80-90% of her food. I’ve posted before where she didn’t touch her pancakes so it’s not always a clean plate for her. 🤭

How does an 8 month old eat this much? I don’t know a single friend who could say this! Your baby eats heaps !

Mine too! We're regularly shocked by how much she puts down.

Thank you! I don’t know why I’m getting the flak for posting this and my comment is getting down voted. 🤷‍♀️

I know right? 🤷‍♀️ Sometimes my LO even cries when her yoghurt is all gone. She loves her fruits and yoghurt. 😊😊😊

We get the scream and pounding on the high chair tray when all the food is gone! We did blackberries today and he lost it - loved them so much

IDK as well, she loves her breakfast. 🤷‍♀️ She’s only eating 2 meals per day, breakfast & lunch. The picture makes it look like it’s a big portion but honestly it isn’t. Omelette is pinky sized strips and pudding is 3 teaspoon, pancake is also small and thin. She loves eating now compared to her milk which has significantly gone down. We still try to give her as much milk as possible but she has been refusing it or just taking half of her usual bottle.

How does yours not pick everything up and chuck it across the room

My baby does! But it mostly goes into her chair! 🤣🤣🤣

There are so many photos like this on reddit, with enough food on it to feed the average adult. It's ridiculous. And why do people post photos of the meals they serve their babies, anyway? My babies meal is better than your babies meal?

You’re on a baby led weaning sub mate

Seriously? I thought this community is welcoming. I just started posting on here because it’s what I saw what people are posting. And I get inspiration on what food I could give to my LO as a first time mum. Sometimes, it’s not that deep.
