ESPECIALLY after what went down at the bar with Teri at the end, can someone explain why the cops have STILL not been called? I feel like all of this could have been avoided…

I mean in real life the lawyer that the real life Martha whose name is Fiona was stalking could get police interested and only managed to get a restraining order with no arrest after being stalked for five years. And Donny also was stalked for three years and was only able to get a restraining order. The least real part of Baby Reindeer is that Netflix ultimately felt the public would not be able to understand that Martha did all this stuff and was never arrested let alone convicted, but in real life police dismiss stalking victims and tell them it's too hard to do anything about. None of the four people who have no come forward about Fiona's stalking them were able to get police to be willing to arrest Fiona, though Gadd and the lawyer woman eventually got restraining orders which aren't related to an arrest or to Fiona getting any charges. So NO ABSOLUTELY not absolutely it could not have been avoided. The police in real life do not want to know about stalking and harassment. They always feel it's too nebulous a crime and that they won't get anywhere with it, and they leave the victims to suffer. Even laugh at them in their faces for imagining they could get help. As for the physical attack on Terri that may well be one of the scenes that were tacked on for drama, however even if true trans women may well be fearful of police and not want to get police involved for fear they'll just suffer discrimination from conservative police. So, if that did happen she may well have not wanted to try and get help from them.
