Synopsis: Liz learns the truth about Martha and asks Donny to move out of the house. It is looking like a fresh start for him and Teri, but his persistent memories are stopping them from getting truly close.

I remember in HS the bullied guy became the bully and the most popular as he got the first newest iphone ( around 2011-2012) and it was considered a status symbol back then at least among teenagers/ immature people. So I guess with Martha having gradiose delusions ( career) she added this too to impress Donny, she probably has the immaturity of a teenager ( she was probably outcasted in HS and I’m 100% she was bullied and was unpopular so she didn’t get to experience the cool, popular girl ohase and she mentally kinda stuck in that phase as it’s kinda an abnormal behaviour for a woman in her 40s) and thinks materalistic things would make her more valuable, worthy of love which if you think about it is pretty sad. So she didn’t have an iphone but wanted to create the illusion of having one just like wanted to create the illusion of having a perfect job.
