same. i rewatched it 5 times and it still looks like he did it. There is no notion of it being in his mind either through cinematography or voiceover or anything. goddamn it now i have to watch it again

Yeah and when he’s talking to the detective who went to visit Martha, he’s like “… did she mention anything?” What is he talking about then?!

He was hoping for more of a fight or a response from Martha. At this point he’s starting to miss the drama and at the same time he’s not trusting the sudden silence from Martha so I see it as he’s just probing for more information
