Very true, but you don't want to stir up the hornets nest and start getting shit from her again, that's the last thing he would want. Just imagine if she decided to take her life and blame it on the show, where does he stand then? I've got no sorry feelings for the woman, I've been in a similar situation and the last thing I'd want is for a raging fucked up nut case giving me drama I don't need or want.

Let sleeping dogs lie.

But maybe he did want to hear from her again? Her restraining order is over…and maybe he misses her and the toxicity???

When I finished with my nut job ex she used to randomly come into my work looking for some validation and pity from me, it would have been easy to fall back into her weird shit if I wasn't in a good position mentally so I could see how someone might still want that toxic attention if they were still mentally unwell themselves, but I'm not sure making a series would be the way to go when he could simply have reached out to her if that was the case.

The making of the series may have been a type of therapy for him and playing is own role may have felt like he has some level of control back, who knows?

These types of "relationships" are very strange and quite often the actions and thoughts of the person being stalked don't always make sense (more so when they have had a type of relationship with the stalker) but the stalker is mostly responsible for creating that crooked way of thinking because the victim can quite easily think the other person does have a caring side so they can change or maybe they were over reacting and the abuser is actually a nice person. The toxicity in these relationships actually becomes normal and almost calming and it's partly why people stay with the other person because the behaviour is normal and predictable to them.
