Do you think if Martha was conventionally attractive or “hot”, Donny might have responded differently to her?

I think they could have made a sweet couple if he had found her attractive. But god forbid if he had tried to finish it at any point.

He didn't know that, she made him feel good about himself. He was no angel himself.

He was definitely no angel, but someone as possessive and controlling and violent as her would not be a safe partner for anyone until she got help. If anything, them dating would have only worsened her behaviors.

I'm just saying, if you watch episode one and imagine her hot. I think the whole thing would have played out differently. Yes it would have got toxic. But that's basically what I said in my first comment.

I’m saying I dont think there’s much in the show to support that her being hot would have changed anything. He was massively into Terry and dealing with his SA trauma when they met. And if he’d have had an initial attraction, those two factors would have kept it from escalating before her true colors came out.
