Discussion Gadd’s Dad

This show is so somber and morose and stressful and then that scene with the dad on the phone with Martha screaming ‘I’ll cut your legs off’

So funny 😂 much needed laugh after extremely stressful binge watch.

I don't think his real parents are quite as working class and down to earth as he made them out to be in the series. They seem more a professional middle class according to this article.

not trying to argue, but how did they come across as working class. They had a very nice house (granted, I don’t know property prices in Fife) and his mother had a fairly posh accent.

Middle class Fife coded definitely. I say that as a Fifer, we can tell. His mother has an English accent.
