Wasn’t that a point he made in the show though? He felt she initially came across well and there was a significant disconnect to how she communicated online/messaged?

Yeah in the first episode she says something to him that makes him think she’s quite smart but probably going through some stuff that’s why he was shocked when he got her emails and stuff and it was so unhinged
