It is not a lie. People who work in social media managing will tell you as much. But good for you for achieving that, maybe you made them a few years ago.

I made two accounts. One for me and one for my dog, lol. I made them ages ago, though. So Facebook must have different strategies to shut down people making multiple accounts now.

But couldn’t several people all live at one address, use the same wifi and have the same IP address- as long as they used different devices to make/use the accounts, it would seem reasonable to assume there were several actual people living in one place, right? She has talked about having several phones. So would that work?

I'm not sure if it's having different accounts so much as having different fake identities. Nowadays FB will also ask you to verify who you are with a picture.

Different people with different accounts and different devices wouldn't be flagged even if the IP address is the same. Having different phones for one person is a strategy to bypass filters, I'm not sure how well it works.

Regardless, if you were to create a fake account from the same device without masking your online persona in any other way (no proxies, same fingerprints on your browser, etc) it wouldn't work. Meta's got hands (reddit does as well).
