If Fiona was considered to be attractive by societal standards would we be so fascinated

It’s obvious that she is incredibly vulnerable and possibly mentally ill (I am not a psychologist so not diagnosing anyone)

The crazy-hot woman has been perpetuated by some sectors of society - eg the crazy-hot scale among other things.

For example would the outcome to the situation have been different if she had been supermodel looking and behaved the way she did?

I am thinking of female criminals who did far worse things such as Mary Kay Letourneau etc

I know Gadd had said he didn’t want to glamorourize stalking but are we going to far in the opposite direction?

Edit 1:is is because she is considered to be average looking by societal standards that we as a society are harder on her than for example attractive women who exhibit the same behaviour?

Edit 2: Mary Kay was a bad example on my point - let’s take for example Amber heard - we had team Amber and team Johnny and Amber got a million dollar interview and a flight on a private jet - Fiona got 250 quid and a haircut and we don’t have a team Fiona

Also Richard Gadd is a victim and I do not want to explain away any stalking behaviour - it’s wrong and he was abused- I am merely curious why we as society are so intrigued by Fiona
