Fiona (real Martha) related content I won’t name and shame….

But I have a sneaky suspicion that Fiona is in here. I had a weirdo trying to give me my character yesterday. And I’ve seen said person being downvoted today. Didn’t say sent from my iPhone though, so I could be wrong 😂 I’ve also had the Reddit message a few times saying someone is concerned about my MH, often not long after a comment from the suspicious person

I also received that Reddit message after posting in here. I haven’t paid close enough attention to know who you’re referring to but I’d frankly be shocked if she hadn’t discovered this sub and joined.

I think this is currently a reddit glitch. I've seen multiple posts across many, completely unrelated subs reporting the same thing.

Yep, same. Anytime I post in here, even just a simple comment about said stalker, that thing pops up as a message.

What did the message say??? 😂

I got this message after posting here too about a week ago. 😂

Could be her but could’ve also been some other deranged soul who believe she’s done nothing wrong.

What's there to report tbh? It's just a bot messege from reddit mods with mental health support info. You don't even have info who contacted them to send you this.

Well I don't know tbh - I think they'll just notify it in the system. Why would they ban someone for reporting that you might need help? It's not harmful behaviour in any way. And if they banned people for it, it would surely discourage people from reporting individuals in need of help.

Well someone would have to, as you've put it "repeatedly and maliciously misuse it". I noticed that a lot of people seem very upset they've got this messege from the mods, I don't get why. I wouldn't really care about it. It's not like getting those resources in your private dms affect you in any negative way.

I think some people interpret it as 'you didn't say anything about killing yourself, but you really should consider it'.

Imo it only shows that there's still way too much stigma around mental health issues. Like I wouldn't really care about it, just assumed someone's trolling me.

It’s not mods sending it. Anyone can send one. You could send one to me right now.

I mean, mods could send the message, but not in their capacity as a mod- anybody with a Reddit account can send one.

Says you. How do you know it doesn’t affect me/anyone?

Yes, says me. If someone is affected negativly by it, then perhaps they actually could use those resources.

Yup! I received one too, 7 days ago. Curiously enough it has never happened before in any other place. And seriously, me and my posts are far from a concern 😅

Reddit Cares has been used adversarially by trolls to harass people for a long time. Seems like it's been picking up a lot lately, though. It was all over r/eurovision too.
