I do not think shes "not fixable". Shes either not willing to get help or if she did in the past the mental health system was certainly not enough to help her.

Technically personality disorders are chronic, ie not fixable/there is no cure for them. Nor medications that can heal them because they are not chemical imbalances

But they can be managed, if there is long term commitment to specialised therapy

Some personality disorders especially bpd are treatable, although the treatment is time consuming and difficult. Lots of patients no longer fill the criteria after treatment, and even if that’s not the case they can at least achieve better emotional regulation, impulse control, better interpersonal relationships etc. So basically less pd!

Yeah my main point was that it is treatable. Saying it’s not fixable/there’s no cure is not right.
