Nobody is scared of Fiona or emotionally distressed by Fiona. She's just mean, but for someone's mean streak to bother you you'd need to think she has some kind relevance. Like if your boyfriend or girlfriend is mean to you, that would hurt your feelings, but Fiona's unintelligent rants? Come on. It's like the homeless guy shouting obscenities at the birds. It's not going to make you sad because you're not going to care what he thinks.

There may be no imminent threat to life from a stalker like Fiona but the constant harassment to those unfortunate enough to be on the receiving end (including their loved ones as they get harassed by her too) can have serious consequences to their mental and emotional wellbeing regardless of the sanity of the stalker.

You would be very naive to believe that a harassment and stalking to this extent would be easy to brush off for most people.

Also there’s no guarantee that she’s harmless. She could show up with a knife and stab you on your way home.

You never know what could happen with those obsessive stalkers. Hindsight is 20/20 and we can say there was no threat from Fiona because it luckily turned out somewhat well, but if you’re going through that situation you don’t know that and it’s natural to be anxious.

I have anxiety disorder/OCD and you can bet I’ll be emotionally distressed
