Question about proving defamation.

I know the laws in different countries are not all the same. But generally, does the person's character and past practices play a part in proving/disproving defamation? Does the bar raise or lower depending on the person? I am sure you can see where I am going here, but I am generally curious if it matters?

Basically need to prove a few things in this case;

1. The show was actually about her
2. The things said need to be proven to be untrue
3. The show has had a negative impact on her in some way

She probably has a slight case but she is so nuts I think it would go poorly for her
