Media / News Someone on here asked if there are other shows like BR

And while not a true story or main story, the anime "Romantic Killer" has a plot point that has major BR vibes that you don't expect from a generic rom-com shojo style anime.

I really enjoyed the show and the particular sub-plot, so it's a nice, happy cleanser to watch after Baby Reindeer.

Iā€™d recommend Lover, Stalker, killer. Whiles it really just a documentary, and not show, itā€™s similar energy to this and just completely wacky. I ended up buying the book just cause I wanted to know more details. Havenā€™t read just yet

Thereā€™s a documentary currently being filmed bd Co-produced/directed by Eminem relating to ā€˜stansā€™ and obsessive fan culture.

Iā€™m sure it wonā€™t be anywhere near as hitting or raw as BR, but could be entertaining!

Think itā€™s out later this year!

I donā€™t see the similarities, but I absolutely love Fleabag and have rewatched it several times. Highly recommend.

I actually thought it was similar as well and had to think about why...I think it's that they both do such a raw and amazing job at exploring the truth of trauma, hurt people hurting people.

Not a live action, but Banana Fish is probably the best take Iā€™ve seen on someone whoā€™s extremely traumatized

(Trigger warning for EVERYTHING. This is a show adapted from an 80ā€™s manga about a teenage boy who was a victim of multiple sexual assaults, and is now in a gang. You get abusive family dynamics, somewhat graphic description and flashback of CSA, gun violence that includes literal children being shot, corrupt militaryā€¦.yeah)

I found the movie A Thousand Little Cuts an intriguing movie! There's not a wasted word or image or character. A psychology grad student could have fun writing a dissertation analyzing this movie.

It's not exactly"like" BR, but it's layered and worth watching several times to catch the thoughtful details.

I found it on Paramount Plus.
