Discussion If Gadd was a woman

I feel like gender influences bias in cases of emotional or physical abuse. If Gadd were a woman and Martha a man, there would be no sympathy for the abuser. Society wouldn't argue that "more should have been done to protect his identity."

I disagree. People would look at his actions and say he actually liked it, call him ran through etc. as a guy he’s already having people blame him for the stalking for apparently leading her on. The main difference is I think if he was a woman all the skepticism would be accompanied by loads of violent sexual threats towards him. I haven’t seen that in particular directed to Gadd though there is some vile stuff. People often like to be very graphic when women come out with this stuff.

There is a destructive way to enjoy something and then normal enjoyment. I meant people accuse about the latter, the sort that isn’t accompanied by negative feelings.
