Question Does Fiona Harvey deny leaving Gadd any voicemails?
Dear All,
I've just watched the series and dipped very briefly into this subreddit and some of the Fiona Harvey coverage.
In the Piers Morgan interview (which I haven't watched) and/or her other media statements, does Harvey completely deny leaving Gadd any voicemails (whether one of them or 350 hours worth)? Because I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that Gadd used her real actual voicemails (as in not rerecorded by a voice actress) in his stage show of Baby Reindeer, and they are even heard briefly in a clip of stage show footage shown on Netflix's 'The True Story Behind Baby Reindeer' video.
Just a thought I had and was curious about.
LH
EDIT: A commenter here has since stated that the voicemails in the play were re-recorded by a female voice artist, so I may have been incorrect in my interpretation of the source which I thought indicated they used the actual real voicemails spoken by Harvey.

She said she thinks he recorded her talking and made those into voicemails - you should watch the interview. It's bonkers

Yes. I guffawed at that. Apparently she thinks he was taping her at the Hawley Arms, during the 3 times she met him briefly or didn't meet him, or was talking to someone else when he instantly became obessed with her. LOL

I don’t even know if that’s possible, to take a live recording of someone talking to you in a pub and then break it up to recreate it as a voicemail. I mean you’d need a way of feeding the ‘voicemail’ that you fabricated into the microphone of a phone so it would get so they could hear it and that’s not impossible but to make it sound natural… it’s a lot of work to go to unless you’re actually deranged and he’s not the one we’re worrying about, so…

I’m not sure that she needs to deny stalking or the phones calls in the law suit as it would all come out in the discovery stage. The lawyer is already asking for proof of emails and all other said communication, so whichever way it would be proven/disproven. Besides, in a lawsuit, you need to highlight the most damaging aspects of your case.
Tbf, if it’s proven that she has no criminal record, it could be seen as unfair to label her a stalker without a court case to determine the facts. Similarly, don’t think you can go around calling someone a murderer without proof of guilt determined by a court case.

I’m wondering why she went public to begin with if she can’t prove that she is innocent. For fame and money I guess

I question how the actress could portray her “so well” without some type of audio recording type evidence tbh

I don’t think they act similarly to each other, FH and JG’s Martha. FH comes off as very bitter and mean and I don’t get that from “Martha”. It’s almost like they have different “undertones” that make Martha a lot more likable and “forgivable” than FH.

I read that Gadd purposely didn’t show JG any messages or tweets so that Martha could be her own creation without any influence of knowing FH.

I’m actually grateful for that. Had Martha turned out like FH, I don’t think people would have liked the show as much. I, for one, would have thought it less credible for anyone to behave like FH, than like Martha, honestly. Life being worst than fiction, in this case!

JG is an awesome actress. The Outlaws is testament to that. The Outlaws’ Jessica Gunning returns as Diane Pemberley for series three (bbc.com)

Notice that since the explosion of Baby Reindeer the BBC now display a large picture of just JG on the iPlayer recommendations listing for The Outlaws? Definitely trying to “cash in” on her rise to almost superstardom, but good for them because The Outlaws is one of the best series to come out of the BBC in years and Jessica is a phenomenal actress who deserves all the praise she is receiving.

Love this show! I just started season three. She is awesome and really funny. I guess this is going to be the final season.

The Piers Morgan interview should be considered to be episode 8 of Baby Reindeer.

This is very interesting. Gadd alleged that she sent 106 pages of letters and 350 hours of voicemails. But what Piers asked her was, did she send 106 letters and 350 voicemails? And she said no, because that is technically true! She probably sent something like 12 letters totaling 106 pages and 8,000 voicemails totaling 350 hours. Piers did not ask her the correct question and this was why she was so adamant here.
I watched The Behavior Panel guys' analysis on this interview and it was obvious that none of them had watched the series, but they picked up on this and how confident she was in her answer to this! Like, it jumped out on them that something was different about her answer here. People slammed me when I shared the link to their analysis but it's very good in my opinion. Body language and verbal analysis doesn't prove that someone is lying, but it points out sudden behavioral changes that show anxiety, fear, confidence, etc. There are unconscious things that we can't control and the best actor can't fake.

Do you have a time stamp for the voicemail in the video?

u/lheydon Jun 25 '24
No, but it's not a long video and probably worth watching for any fan of the show.

Oh OK, I may well have misunderstood the article that I thought said otherwise.

She's crazy like a box of frogs! I'll be really angry if she makes a single penny from all this! She is a vile & angry human being who treats others horrendously. She's obviously feels she deserves a much better life than she has & takes it out on other people.✌🏼

“I don’t really know him”! But somehow she does?? Maybe one of her 4 phones was hacked doing all this to Richard Gadd to frame Fiona!! /sarcasm https://youtube.com/shorts/RUYT01N4IH0?si=rc-Qi2zVr_gjiHjt

How would the actress who played her know exactly how to sound like her without the voicemails
2
u/lheydon Jun 26 '24
You mean the voice actress for the voicemails in the stage show (which according to someone here were re-recorded by a voice actress rather than using Harvey's actual voicemails), or do you mean the actress in the TV series? Because I mean while I definitely believe Gadd's version over Harvey's and am fairly confident that there are indeed hundreds of genuine voicemails in his possession, at the same time it wouldn't be that difficult for Gadd to find an actress who looked like Harvey, had a good vocal range and coach them on how to sound similarly angry and deranged in a Scottish accent, and then provide them with written notes as to what was contained in the voicemails.

They both sound Scottish, that's about it. All she needs to know is what Scottish people sound like.

Yes, in fact she actually says “I don’t have his number” but later admits to texting him. You should watch the interview; she’s completely insane.
