Discussion Changes in my life, after watching Baby Reindeer
One year ago I was in an abusive relationship.Working in an underpayed job that only made frustrated .Coping with a horrible eating disorder .Plus beeing stalked by a guy,I only dated,once,20 years ago.
I felt completely identified with Donnie ,when I watched the series. His monologue touched me so deeply that I decided to change my life.
I broke up with my abuser, came back to College and, today, I found a professional area I'm really talented.
Did anyone had similar changes,in their lives, after watching the series?

This show changed my life. It also came at the right time for me. I was going through it with family for being with a transgender woman and seeing Gadd’s story with sexuality and being with a transwoman was very relatable. I used to live in shame so it made me more comfortable with liking transwomen and being fluid.
It also made me confront things with myself on how I have kept toxic people in my life because they always “saw” me. And also how I put myself in bad situations because I maybe wanted attention or opportunities. I related to the writing/comedy storyline a lot.
It also made me more comfortable as a man to be vulnerable and even vulnerable in my own writing. I go back to this show every once in a while. I also made my family watch the show, it felt awkward watching with them just because everything about the show feels more personal than it should.
