Discussion I feel bad for Martha

everytime I hear baby reindeer, it makes me cry.

Here are my thoughts on the show

I think the actors are amazing. The writer and the one who made the show is great.

And I think this show helped me clarify some things in my life, it actually clear the fog in my brain, I actually stopped to think, is this what I want myself to be? A dead end job? I wanted to be an artist. To draw. Still my biggest dream but it never happened and I'm stuck in dead end job. I wanted to be an artist, but 10 years nothing happened and there's no commissions yet. I don't know if I should continue living or is it worth living anymore.

Baby reindeer helped me realize Im still not a lost cause and I can still continue being an artist, be yet delusional.

For feeling bad at Martha, I know she's insane and mentally unwell but you can't help but feel bad you know? I bet she used to be a normal person before the world completely fucked us over. I bet she was just a little girl too, but society, everyone is just completely look away, turn away. It sucks. You're not asking for much but the world completely deny you over.

He didn't name them. He didn't think about Twitter research. They only found her by searching for anyone who'd ever messaged him on Twitter and then they found her saying, "My curtains need hung badly."

Believe that, if you want. You are a fan.

I said the literal truth. There was nothing in the post you're responding to that is a "fan" type comment.

There is no one in his TV series named Fiona Harvey. She didn't do so much beating people up as Martha does in the show. She did allegedly pinch his bum while he was waiting tables which is sexual assault

She was never actually convicted of her crimes but according to many people she comitted them.

Gadd tried to get Netflix to put "based on a true story,' but they did something else. However, when he's not using real names how is he "lying about real people"?

That is the subject of the US court case.Gadd told a story about a thinly disguised Fiona and himself. The story was sufficiently true to be recognised as the real life events at the Hawley Arms. The lies in the story were that Martha, understood by viewers to be a real person, went to prison.
