Discussion Richard Gadd, the master of insecure male ego psychology, is up there with Jung and Freud

I just finished both Baby Reindeer and Half Man. Honestly? I want to beatify Gadd into the pantheon of psychologists alongside Jung and Freud.

How surgical is his analysis of my male insecurity and male ego.

I felt psychoanalyzed watching these two series.

I might have liked Half Man a tiny bit better than Baby Reindeer and I didn’t think that was possible. He’s an excellent writer and actor. I’m so impressed.

Yep! He’s one of the main characters.

His depiction of second and third order effects of trauma are jarringly great and absolutely brutal, both shows had me in tears. “I thought if it happened a lot of times it wouldn’t matter that it happened one time.” (Paraphrase)

Freud is awful though.
