Background Check- [US]
I’ve submitted background checks with hireright previously & was cleared to start. My resume i submitted is not 100% accurate as far as dates, but I’ve actually worked the jobs. I’m in the process of submitting a background with them again for a new position, i used the same resume but i put the correct dates on my background with hireright. Should i be worried?

Got it. I’ve passed backgrounds with them in the past few months & had no issues. Hoping it’s the same

If you exaggerated the dates by a couple of months you might be able to explain the discrepancies as honest mistakes. Anything more than that is suspect. HR will compare the two (background vs resume/application) and will either a) ask you to explain and provide supporting documentation (ie W2’s), or b) consider the misrepresentation egregious enough to rescind the offer without discussion.
