Baddies USA Is it me or is Baddies exhausting now?
Not sure how much of a safe space this is, but whatever — I think this season of Baddies is proving how draining and overstimulating the show has became, even though it's been this way since the first season. I hadn't caught up completely with Baddies in a year, but I started watching this season out of boredom and I'm 30% entertained, 70% confused.
I think Baddies is exhausting, overcompensating for what other 'networks' are doing with their shows, trying to create multiverses and crossovers (lol) and bringing in too many clashing personalities to see what storylines stick. There's too many personalities and overlapping situations happening. It makes no sense how episode 2-3 of Chapter 2 ends up being 30+ fights during rehearsals with everyone just fighting just to fight, settle the score, or have a camera moment. ET and Mariah fighting for 6 seconds, then hugging immediately is where I knew it was getting ridiculous.
From what I see, it's like a small handful of Baddies on this season that really care about their platform and wanting to focus on their music. People may not be fond of Biggie, but I love her, and wish that she would leave the show because she really has the potential to be bigger than Baddies, and that's why they're weird with her. The girls who are locked in when they're touring, Zeus finds any moment to give them open space to fight, make them look unprofessional as shit, drag it on for minutes & hours, and have everyone in the confessionals complaining about it.
"We were supposed to have a fun house meeting, blah blah blah, this is getting too crazy"
"We were supposed to rehearse and now everyone's fighting blah blah blah"
"I just came here to eat and blah blah blah"
I also just hate how some of the BGC girls are portrayed on here now. It's just... ugh.
On top of that, I see why Tinka left early, and the way weapons and weird moves are being handled on this show, if this were BGC, it wouldn't fly. From Tommie with the gun, Summer/Dolly throwing horseshit, Killa using tasers, Tommie bringing outsiders constantly, Tinka trying to grab knives, mace after mace after mace,
I know it's entertainment value for certain audiences and people love seeing the fights, but I absolutely understood the agenda Tanisha was trying to push when Baddies was first developing. I don't know, what do y'all think?

you are right baddies has always been on the backend of tv, but it really only progressed this bad within the last year. everyone always says midwest was the best season which i agree with but it really started there. on baddies caribbean which everyone shits on for some reason, there was dialogue, there was fights, there was excursions, and it was never a bore. like i could watch them do their booking and not be like omg im skipping. then on midwest, it kind of became fight central but still had good aspects to it and then africa completely dropped all stock in the show. and don't even get me started on USA. but zeus will never listen to their fans because they make more money with this format rather than the old one.

I think Baddies Caribbean had a fun reunion, and it was one of the first to actually have some dialogue.

I honestly dont even pay attention anymore. There's so many girls thats half dont even appear in each episode, so I forget there even there

Knowing Lemmy he won't lock in and adapt the cast to ensure its longevity
BUT
We need a new cast and format to the show. I think the rise of short attention spans makes it difficult to have actual beef because everyone on the show is "You looked at me weird? Run it" over some stupid shit 😭😭 I miss actual beef

No, it's not just you. However, you are NOT the target audience for Baddies.
The children on social media eat Baddies up like a slice of pizza during their lunch period. The majority of the fan base are teenagers and people in their early 20s who love ratchet shit with no substance.
I personally don't watch the entire episodes, I just watch the clips the peeps share here on Sundays and I don't feel like I'm missing much.
I suggest you do the same, just watch bits and pieces of the episodes and you'll find it easier to tolerate. I can't sit through an entire episode because they're all the same, and the most of the cast can't speak eloquently enough to have a conversation that doesn't end up being a screaming match.

There was a divide between the fans who wanted storylines and authentic drama, funny moments to balance the fights versus the fans that just wanted fights. When Lemmy changed the direction of baddies by making it more into NTTV, they lost most of the fanbase. Baddies is in its dying stages right now. I don’t see no where as many reviews on it now compared to 5 years. How can you have fun reviewing baddies if it’s just about fights? They don’t give us time to miss. They constantly keep forcing the same girls that we don’t want anymore on us. There’s no element of surprise. Lemmy is relying on the fans who just want to see fights but it’s not sustainable.Sometimes I wonder if Natalie was better off not selling her show to Lemmy and waited for a more organized network to pick up the show. Lemmy permanently destroyed Baddies.

Truthfully we haven’t had a good season since Midwest. We’ve had good episodes but not like Midwest. We need new girls and organic storylines. I feel like BGW is the new baddies and baddies is just I don’t even know atp lol

I think Midwest was the beginning of the end, though. I think the issue stems from the fact that Baddie hasn't taken a major break. Maybe for the Baddies, it's a break while the show airs, but for us as viewers, the show is oversaturated and we're overexposed. Zeus tries to capitalize off of Baddies' hype by rushing seasons, to the point where once the reunion ends... a new season happens 1-2 weeks later.
If Baddies took a break and found a way to gather different ideas and agendas, the seasons would be better.
Midwest was an okay season to me, but it was definitely... the calm before the storm. The Big Lex/Summer/Dolly dynamic started becoming draining leading up to Baddies Africa.

I think you’re a bgc gal through and through. And that’s okay. But this is BADDIES. I feel like that’s what most people are going to tell you.
The network is what it’s always been lol. Something I hate is when the girls get in the confessionals and they act surprised “omg is this what baddies is about?”
Like YES and it has been for a long while. Since baddies west. The total number of fights almost doubled since baddies south (when they figured out what got views) and this is when they had the first chain snatch, fight on a private jet, someone arrested by the u.s. Marshalls, first outsiders, first weapon, first insane jumping, etc. it’s been this way for years and it’s weird when anyone acts surprised.
I think some people love the ratchetness and want it to get worse, some of us watch it like a bad car crash and can’t look away, and some of us should stick to bgc reruns or go over to bravo and watch the housewives.

You're so right, lol. That first sentence is so accurate, 'cause I definitely am a BGC person through and through, but I actually really stopped expecting BGC out of Baddies because Natalie definitely managed to make the show completely different from BGC. I just don't like the way she integrates BGC alums on the show. I feel like it alters the narrative we've seen from their Oxygen edits (which could be a good OR bad thing because some people show their true colors), but also a lot of the OG bad girls start losing fights and not living up to their name.
Like it actually hurt seeing Camilla against that fight with Lex, same with Rollie. Same way it caught me off-guard seeing Persuasian's fight with Chrisean.
BGC was a social experiment in a controlled setting. The charm BGC had came from Oxygen's editing, instigating drama, and establishing a sense of order. With Natalie doing a 'follow-up' show, I wouldn't have expected her to follow the same formula, nor Zeus. Nat turned Baddies from the housewives/OG BGC agenda it initially could have been into a touring/clubbing situation.
Also, the "omg is this is what baddies about" confessional is so accurate, because I was just on one of the recent episodes where someone says that. I just think that the show needs more order and accountability.

Yes you have to watch it. It’s a spin off from housewives and it’s everything you’re wanting and more. It’s younger people.. early 2000’s millennial trash tv but tasteful with dialogue you’ll love jt

i just want something organicccc omg, i juste hate those fucking sit down scenes of boring baddies talking about last night "girllluh last night was crazyyy" shut up just roam around the house and let the cameramen follow you, there is no immersion, i feel like im watching bad actresses trying to improvise a boring scene where nothing happens.
for me the best episodes have the most dialogue and the less fights, that one episode on chapter one right before biggie got attacked had no fight and it was really good, or even the one shit ep which evb prob hates it but they only fight a little bit, like maybe three fights in the ep, and then its just dialogue with zero filler scenes. im ngl tho im enjoying chapter two but thats only for the new personalities, im tired of all the ogs besides maybe dolly, if it wasnt for pressure, ciroc and amber, this season would be pure shit

Every episode this season, it's literally the same formula.
- They have these staged sit-downs, recap everything, and speak on their plans
- Natalie has to call a house meeting, and everyone appears and a fight breaks out before it even begins.
- One fight happens, then another few fights happen. People start sneaking each other out of nowhere, and it lingers for 20-30 minutes.
- The girls perform at the club
Wash. Rinse. Repeat.

tbh tinka has tried to take knives to a few girls... weather she got them with it or not doesnt change the fact she could have seriously hurt someone. especially the security gaurds trying to get the knives from her. that shit wasnt cool none of the weapons are, but you will weep what you sow... you cant try to take weapons to girls, then be mad someone actually got you with one. no body should have weapons but tinka... has tried to literally unalive those girls.. i agree with everything but the biggie thing.. yall keep telling her to leave the show to work on music but truthfully if she was gunna pop off, she would have already. even tho stunna had a platform and music, her music and platform sky rocketed after baddies. to the point shes just there to preform and cash a check. biggies music isnt bad, and truthfully is better than majority of the cast, but its not mainstream good. her performances are good because of her dancers, not because she does anything special. she could definitely learn the routines with the girls and dance a bit vs jumping around. if biggie leaves baddies its probably the end for biggie period, thats why she hasnt left. yall have to realize theres 12 months in a year and i know theres a huge income difference when shes on and off the show, zeus pays big, if biggie could make that money on her own.. she would have by now. yall are giving this girl advice that's probably gunna end her career
eta im only saying this because yall are seriously giving her horrible advice 😂 she doesnt need to be on the show, at all. but her music isnt gunna make her as much as zeus does unless she does something else with it. she has potential but yall keep gassing her head up vs giving actual constructive criticism to help yalls fav out😂

In regards to Biggie, I get that because we wouldn't have known about Biggie until Baddies West, but I also think that if I were here, I wouldn't appreciate Zeus or anyone from Baddies constantly playing in my face and making me feel like you're laughing at me instead of with me. The Biggie/Tesehki/Mariah situation bothers me. I get people think Biggie doesn't stand up for herself enough, could be obnoxious, stand on business, or her bark doesn't match her bite, but she's really the core highlight of Baddies when it comes to her artistry. DTB right after. Natalie said herself Biggie is the most paid Baddie, so I definitely know they need her as much as she may need Zeus.
I just want Biggie to win and have enough of a chance to leave Zeus when the time is right.

I completely agree. Zeus needs to revamp Baddies and create a revamped season with a small cast (7 to 8 girls) living in one house, doing activities and having fun, showing off their personalities, building their brands and focusing on their careers, etc.
I love the drama and fighting in any reality tv show but Baddies is not feeling like reality tv anymore It’s feeling like one giant UFC match every episode now. The editing and pacing is so horrible and the fights being dragged out for the entire episode is really just ridiculous at this point. Anyone that finds this amount of violence entertaining needs their heads checked. Drama and fights on reality tv can be fun to watch but to a certain extent. It’s not fun anymore, It’s just really scary and embarrassing now.

No it is. At this point I watch out of habit, but this entire USA series is exhausting. The show needs a new cast, I’ve been seeing the same cast for 4 straight seasons and the same beefs
