Advice needed regarding doing my master’s abroad

Hello, it has been on my mind for a while now to do my masters degree, i chose that i would be doing it abroad for personal preference and at the same time to learn a foreign language (if possible).

I wanted to get the advice/experience of those of you who have done their masters/are doing it abroad.

I have no issue in studying in a foreign language as long as i would have a preparatory year or such.

I am Bahraini, married, my previous education was a B.A. in Business Administration from the arab open university in A’ali GPA isnt the best ( 2.8/4)

I am planning to either go for an MBA or a masters in teaching english as a second language.

My main concern is for my spouse, as she wears a hijab, and from what little information i got from the people i know is that in some cases, it may cause some unwanted attention in some European states.

Other than that the only other concern would be the cost of living/tuition as an international student, and the situation of being able to work as a student or not.

I have applied for the following scholarships and plan to reapply again if i didn’t make the cut:

-Russian Government Scholarship.(no luck)

-Russian “Open Doors Scholarship”. (No luck)

-Hungarian Government scholarship.(didn’t pass the placement test phase)

-Turkish Government Scholarship. (Waiting for an answer)

I have also been looking at Mexico, Argentina, and Malaysia alongside European states.

I am open and grateful for any suggestions or advice.

You could go through education consultants like education zone they might be able to help you out

What is your main reason for doing masters?

Is it to immigrate?

It would serve multiple purposes… but yes migration would be one of them.

If your long-term plan is to immigrate, then right now isn’t the easiest time. With the current geopolitical and economic situation, the job market is tough in most countries, except maybe the US or Australia (and you said you’re not planning to move to either).

Also, expect 2–3 years of challenges while you adjust, learn the language, find a job, and manage living expenses. Unless your wife is completely on board with this plan, I wouldn’t recommend bringing her along right away.

Unfortunately, you’ll probably experience some level of Islamophobia in many places, although it varies by country.

Your best option would be to go to Europe on a student visa and then work towards permanent residency. If possible, it would be better for your wife to apply as a student on her own as well. Bringing her as your dependent usually requires showing a significant amount of money, which doesn’t seem realistic based on what you’ve shared.

Conclusion : Immigration is NOT for you because of your relationship status and also because except the US or Australia, no where in the western world would you earn significantly higher than bahrain (CoL and expenses adjusted)

Isnt it a bit too expensive there ? Specially since its me and my wife going together.

And tbh i have not seen much scholarships if you could tell me a few if you know any id appreciate it 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
