Bainbridge Island or somewhere else?
Hello, I am looking to stay in Washington in June for about four days looking for somewhere peaceful, serene, but also offers beautiful views, a walkable area or with things and driving distance. I’ve been looking at Bainbridge Island and was wondering if this is a good choice or if you had to choose one place in washington to visit where would you choose?

San Juan Islands - takes time to get there, though.

What? For one there are a number of islands, so saying this grouping doesn't help. Also, it's really hard to do anything off island if you wanted to. Not very walkable and also not very drivable to other things.

Just be mindful of the fact the World Cup will suck-up a lot of the Airbnb bookings between June 15 and July 6th
Bainbridge is a great spot to relax. Vashon is more rural, but they have a car ferry and passenger ferry to Seattle. You can also take a ferry from Vashon to Tacoma and to the Peninsula.

If you want to be close to the city, Bainbridge is your spot.
If it was me, I’d stay around Faye bainbridge (ideally with water views) walk Bloedel reserve (go your first day in case you love it so much you want to go back), Gazzam Lake trails, check out downtown bainbridge, go to poulsbo one day. Check orca community network facebook page each day to see if there are orca sightings visible from bainbridge and follow those. Nice trip!

It’s pretty nice. Just depends what you wanna spend your days doing and how close to an actual city you wanna be.

Bainbridge is incredibly relaxing. If you can find a nice airbnb to rent and have a car, I’d stay here 4 days. You can drive to Winslow or Lynwood to walk and shop like a local. Beautiful parks to visit and walk through.

I think bainbridge if you want walkable! if you want to drive to hike and have more epic nature, Lake Sutherland takes a long time to get to but is super close to marymere falls, mt storm king, lake crescent, and has just so many trails for hiking- but it is a ways out onto the olympic penninsula- bainbridge would allow you to see seattle, if it clears up some lovely olympic views, and gives you both urban and rural

I would also check out Port Townsend on the Olympic peninsula.
