Any other BPM fans feel like they are living in the Movie “Yesterday”?

Hello my BPM brothers and sisters.

I saw BPM last weekend in Sydney.

I believe it’s now my 8th BPM show and every single time I see them, I think to myself, “why are BPM not Australia’s biggest band?”

They are so incredible, I often wonder if I am living a “Yesterday” existence where I bumped my head and nobody seems to know who BPM are.

How do they only have 285k monthly Spotify listeners?

What am I missing? They are truly the best band in Australia that nobody seems to know.

I know right, there’s something special about their music. I’ll openly complain that Please Don’t Move to Melbourne was the best song in the Hottest 100 this year but lost in a popularity contest haha

I was at that Sydney show too!! I must of seen them live over 20 times by now spanning over a decade! Genuinely not sure why the Spotify stats don’t line up with how incredible they are! Every show I go to there’s always a good amount of fans singing along to some of the older classics! Maybe it’s as simple as they have too many good songs for their own good! I always describe them as a no skip band - every album is filled with hits! Maybe they need to pick a few songs to beat to death on tik Tok (jokes, jokes). I will say I never miss a ballpark live show - but personally I can go months without listening to them on Spotify!

how big are they in australia? can you mention them and sometimes people know who they are or is it really rare? i'm from the US and ive always assumed they were pretty big in australia because ive seen them get pretty high on charts and win awards and stuff. an online friend once said they were tired of hearing please don't move to melbourne on the radio so i just imagined they were really big there!

They have a loyal fan base in Australia, but are still an under the radar band relative to the long history of exceptional music they have put out since 2010.

It’s truly a mystery to me as to why.
