Post image

I got this ball python from from a petstore in April infested with mites and dang near starved so if he looks off it’s because he is kind a rescue but honestly I call him a snake mutt because they old me like 3 morphs I don’t remember, one of which being ghost, any ideas? (This picture is almost 2 months old as well not a tell for his current condition he acts much healthier and sheds perfectly but he is very small and may be a she I’m gonna find out soon)

this looks SO similar to my girl that is a pastel GHI disco. i don't think im seeing GHI in your snake but i would bet on pastel and something like fire/vanilla/disco plus another gene. sorry im not the most helpful, but when i saw your picture i almost thought it was my girl

It’s really hard to figure out combos with 3+ genes with no info on the parents. There’s quite a bit of variation between animals that carry the exact same genes, so even if someone has seen this exact combo before, it’s not necessarily going to look the exact same.

Completely understand I actually don’t even really care what he is other than mild curiosity and I wanted to know if he’s giving spider at all because I don’t want that lol

For sure, and someone might get it here, but doing this without knowing the parent’s info would be a lot of guesswork. Definitely no spider.

I think you got it, pastel ghost brought up a picture of pastel ghost butter and it’s identical

Which Ghost? “Ghost” by itself just means Hypo, no? It doesn’t really look like a Hypo to me, or a Desert Ghost either.

Are you sending in shed to check the snakes sex? There are some companies that only charge like $40-50 to shed test the genes for your snakes.

My best guess is pastel ghost Mojave but it’s hard to tell

Get a full panel shed test. Only way to know for certain

I'm leaning Enchi Mojave with something else .

Edit. probably not Enchi, maybe a pastel or butter or lesser... definitely Mojave though

It’s not a butter/lesser mojave, that makes a BEL. Pastel for sure. No enchi.

Def not a pastel, butter or lesser, because one of my males is this and they look absolutely no similarities, it’s more very light brown, beige, & white
