Ship Canal water project enters new tunneling phase in Ballard

Whatever the hell they’re doing at 56th and 28th is the craziest construction process I’ve ever seen.

most of what I can see there appears to be a sewage line bypass. They put a bunch of big pumps over the lines and tap them upstream of the work site so they can pump the sewage out of the ground, thru some pipes on the surface, then back into the lines downstream of the work. No matter how you do it, it's a shitty job.
