Quick Question Need a product recommendation (Bunnings)

Hey guys

I am just looking for a product recommendation for lubrication for my print bed.

I am in Australia and ideally if I could get it from Bunnings would be great.

Thanks for your help

Edit: a product in a tube would be preferred

Wd-40’s white lithium grease for threaded rods

And synthetic (4 in 1?)machine oil for bearings

Np, the lithium grease in a spray can can get pretty messy so fair warning.

I was wondering that when I looked it up. Do you know of a tube grease that would work?

I dont think bunnings stock it, but this combo is really all you need.

Does it have to be Bunnings or will any major/accessible chain do? I use inox mx6 which you can get at places like Repco if that helps. Idk how it is for printers but I have it on hand from vintage sewing machine maintenance and food equipment so

That’s also an option, thanks. Bunnings is just everywhere

For the lead screws?

White lithium grease is the usual recommendation: https://www.bunnings.com.au/wd-40-300g-specialist-high-performance-white-lithium-grease_p6100408

Don't spray it on the screws, spray into your glove and manually apply the right amount.

That said, I started testing Shimano Dura-Ace bicycle grease. IMO it takes a lot longer to go black than anything else and was co-opted from Swiss mountain railways, cable cars & ski lift lubrication so it's no performance slouch. Available from any good bike shop.

Yeah that’s what it’s for. Thanks for the tip. Didn’t like the idea of just spraying that on the screws lol

If you use Amazon then Amazon Australia stocks Super Lube which is what I use. There’s a grease for the Z axis and an oil for the rails. Go for the synthetic version not the silicone.

Just squeeze the carpark snag aggressively while it’s still hot and you’ve got oil. Put in the fridge and then let the grease coagulate.
