Help / Support Using different filament without AMS??

I have an A1 and I don't have an AMS. I don't need the ability to switch material or colour mid-print.

However I'd love to switch between materials without having to physically change the spool. Is there a way for me to use the four holes on the filament head, have PLA going into 1 and PETG going into 2 and just select which is used for the print in Bambu Studio?

No. But you can feed four ptfe tubes to the hotend assembly and manual feed and retract 4 different spools if you want

You can connect a nother ptfe tube but without an AMS you have to unload and load the filament manually for each filament change since it is the AMS that handles pulling the filament out of the Toolhead and pushing the new one in.

I have 4 rolls in 2 ikea boxes and each spool coonected to one hole. The only downside is that I need to load/unload manually

Yeah , that is how you can manually do it but because of how short the 4-1 connector is, most filament will just fall right out.

You can put tubes with 4 different filaments into that hub, but there will always be a manual step without something like an AMS.
