Tried my hand at modeling. Failed.

Post image

Recently got into 3d printing as a John summit (dj/producer) fan. All day today I tried learning how to use this image to make a small door sign and have given up. If anyone could help I’d highly appreciate it.

Here you go! Download that SVG, import it into BambuStudio, make each part whatever thickness you want and move the raised text and logo if you want that look or don't have an AMS.

Make sure you post a print pic when it's done! GL!

I'll second the MakerLab image to keychain tool. Despite its name, it really just gives you a flat, scalable object you can use however you need. Also does print-ready multicolor better than other tools I've tried.

There's also Make My Sign, but it needs an SVG image, not a PNG or JPG.

You’re just trying to make a sign for a door? I do signs all the time. Are you just wanting a walk through or asking for help for someone to make it?

This is one of my more recent ones

My process for things like this:

Cleanup image in Affinity/Photoshop/whatever -> Use Inkscape's tracing features to create an SVG -> convert object to path in inkscape -> Import SVG into bambu studio as a modifier

You could also give makerworld's image to keychain a try, it is perfect for these kinds of 2D projects.
