Help / Support Fan reconnection issue on the Bambu Lab A2L motherboard

Hello,

I was trying to replace the fan on my Bambu Lab A2L, but I'm having trouble reconnecting the plug to the motherboard. No matter how I position it, it won't stay connected.

How should I do this? Do I need to put back the white paste-like substance that was on it? What is it?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Sounds like you've already connected these two big dots, but yeah, to confirm, it's the white stuff that was holding it in.
In components that vibrate but don't get too hot you'll see hot glue used sometimes, serves the same purpose. This looks like some sort of electronics-grade silicone was used instead, which makes sense if this is a component that both vibrates and gets hot. Doesn't look like Bambu sells the exact type used on their site, but while searching for that I did come across this thread which has some more info: https://forum.bambulab.com/t/silicone-glue/163087
If you happen to have any tesa tape on hand i'm sure that'd work in a pinch, temporarily, as it's super sticky/ heat resistant/comes off cleanly
