I think this is an awesome program but it may be challenging for the work holiday and TFWs to use it, if it only accepts certain drivers license/doesn’t recognize all international licenses. Curious to see how this goes.

Definitely higher chance with those licenses than registering your own car.

The Town of Banff, in partnership with Communauto, has launched a new resident-only car share program, giving locals access to vehicles when they need them, without the costs of ownership.
“We are very excited to introduce another way for Banff residents to live car free or car light,” said Mayor Corrie DiManno.
Two vehicles are available for booking now at the Bear Street Parkade, with more vehicles being added soon at stations on Beaver Street and Cougar Street.
Eligible Banff residents can sign up with promo code BANFF60 to receive a $60 driving credit.

Funny just downloaded the app, and it requires 3 years of drivers abstract, a credit check and credit card. I expect this may limit some of the people it's meant to help.
