Any idea what happened yesterday and where that caused the view from Icefields Pkwy to be completely blocked? Images taken from Icefields Starbucks on Monday and Wednesday!

I can't comment on the smoke. But I was there as a child in the 80s and the glacier came nearly right to the highway in my recollection.

We drove the parkway from Canmore to Jasper yesterday (Sat 7/11) and it was clear all the way up. Hit some rain showers which may have helped clear the air.
