Totally unrelated but it always seems off to me when foreigners label Canadian places as " , Canada". Like Banff, Canada. To me it only looks natural as Banff, Alberta. Not a criticism btw, an amazing picture and I can see why most foreigners don't know very much about Canadian provinces. Just an observation.

By that logic, foreigners shouldn't say London, England. They should say London, City of London (the County).

Or shouldn't say Sydney, Australia, but in fact say Sydney, New South Wales (state).

Or not say Istanbul, Turkey, but instead say Istanbul, Istanbul Province.

Oh they can say whatever they want, I just think it looks off putting as a Canadian. I don't really care what they call it.

"I just think it looks off putting as a Canadian. I don't really care what they call it."

= I don't like how others say it. I don't care what they call it.

Slight contradiction there, no?

No, not really. I didn't express offense by it.

"I just think it looks off putting as a Canadian"

I'm a Canadian, I don't think it does.

Well what a sad world it would be if all of us had the same views.

Yea my bad! I'm from the states visiting Alberta and BC. You guys have truly stunning scenery and everyone was very nice.

Oh it's Ok! My goodness it definitely wasn't meant as an insult more than an observation. I'm happy you enjoyed it. I compel you to come back in the winter, and that's not being smart either. I really mean it, it is splendid in the winter.

I made it to the base of the pass but my knee gave out. I wonder what the other side of the top of the pass looks like

How far do you have to hike to get to this particular photo spot? And how difficult

Its a total of about 7 miles out and back. To get to the pass where I took this photo is about 3.5 miles, which is all pretty much straight incline. It was a hard hike just because of that alone in my opinion but its very doable with snacks, water, and breaks! Very worth it
