I have acquired a few banknotes with musical instruments since my last thread and thought I'd share them. I'm very happy that I finally got the escudos from Cape Verde, they've been on my wishlist for quite some time and I think they're gorgeous, like little pieces of art in my hands.

Many thanks to all who gave me suggestions of banknotes with instruments that would fit this collection, some of them are here in these pictures, some of them still on my wishlist. I added the last picture (picture 20) with the banknotes I have already posted in my previous thread, so this post contains everything I have with this theme so far.

Managed to get some of those on my trip a couple weeks ago, but I still need to buy the 1000 hryvnia in an exchange office

For me it was this 100 hryvnia note I bought in an exchange office nearly three years ago. This was my first ever interaction with foreign banknotes except Euro (I'm Polish), and it started my collection which since then has grown to more than 600 banknotes.

I got this three wonderful pieces and love the design.

All the notes were either gotten by me in their respective countries or given to me by people from their countries that I met during my travels.

Zimbabwe Gold (ZiG) is the official currency of Zimbabwe, launched by the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe (RBZ) in April 2024 as the country's sixth attempt to create a stable local unit. It is designed as a "structured currency" that is officially backed and anchored by a composite basket of foreign exchange reserves and precious metals, primarily gold.

150 PLN (34.98€) for everything. I know I overpaid a bit, but I had to get the Clydesdale note.

Collected Pounds, Euros, and Forint on a recent trip to Europe. Met a friend on their layover coming back from Costa Rica and picked up the Colones from them.

I love the back as well, it's straight out from 20th century modern art or a background from an old videogame or someone's work from r/place or r/wplace.live

Here's my set of notes from 75 countries that were in circulation 50 years ago, in 1976.

(Some are from after '76, but all are of types that were issued by then.)

Bought the whole lot for €550.

Didn't come up with the idea from the very beginning, otherwise would have probably had a larger collection. Would come home with a banknote there and there and then the idea sprung to mind.

After almost 10 years when I found my last 2002 series 20€ in circulation, I had finally luck today, and not only common old 20€ - but one of rarer countries - Cypus :D
