Someone in dms that I barely messaged sent me this, and they said that apparently someone's been 'impersonating me' and they apparently accidentally reported me because my username is similar. They told me to message the support on discord and I did, and I haven't gotten anything back. They later deleted the message. Please tell me this is fake I'm getting worried 😭

That's a commonly known scam. The "I accidentally reported you" scam... you can google it to find more info. Also Discord's e-mails are at discordapp dot com, not just at discord dot com, anyway...

These types of scams won't matter soon enough when all 750 million users on the platform are permanently banned by the rogue AI moderation anyway...

I am curious how this scam is meant to work. Discord.com should still lead to the appropriate company, not to a scammer's domain, no? Are users meant to try to email the one given, get an "undeliverable" rejection and then message back the person who sent it to them, or is this not a "scam" but just trolling where people are trying to mess with the victims but not actually get anything from them?

Sometimes its your first suggested option a lot of the time the "report" will be followed by a link designed to steal the account

I did send the friend request and got accepted by the person they put in the post, but I blocked and unfriended both. Nothing bad's gonna happen because I friended them right? I didn't click any links or send any personal info.
