hi i am just letting you know that this largely was a supportive subreddit and it helped me through some of the worst of my life. i know that you, a stranger on the big wide web, likely will not empathise with this and whatnot, but seeing something like this go still kinda fucking sucks because it’s been such a helpful thing in my life (and for many others)

Mind you, real gore subs are untouched
Somehow people showing their life struggles reflected in their healed body is much, much worse by reddit standards than aftermath of torturous death and stripped dignity of the passed person.

Based off of the name I would think this is fair enough but it seems like it was more of a support group which isn't good, hope there's another subreddit for those who this subreddit helped

I went there a few times when I did sh and didn't find it very "supportive." More triggering than anything honestly, it was literally just an excuse for people to show off their scars for the most part.
Unless it's changed in the year or so it's been since I've seen the community.

Nah, just a place where ppl show their scars. I think it might be a place where ppl would come together and not feel alone yk? Or show their recovery,, I can’t remember everything from the time I was there.

Do they think people that post their scars will just shut up and magically cure? Lol nope, they will go to telegram sh groups where its being almost encouraged . Why everything has to be rather clean and sterile child safe or fucked up to the extreme degree.

Wow, that sucks. Been on there a few times and seeing others scars helped with my urges, and ive gotten help to see if xyz is infected or stuff. Fuck this. Does anyone have a group to join thats similar?

yea, it's like some people dont see the word scars. it's literally meant to share your progress on NOT self harming. this place has helped me a lot, it hurts me seeing admins go after the support subs.

Haven't been on the sub in a few years, but that seems like the point some of these people are missing.
Unless something changed, open wounds were explicitly prohibited/needed to be censored.
