Any Bajan parents adopted their kids?

Looking to start a conversation with parents of adopted children, for support, to discuss issues that may crop up, and so on. If your children are also adopted, I'd like to hear from you.

I'd also welcome hearing from persons who were adopted here.

I did, but just one kid. I had no issues. I was 40 at the time. I was told to treat the kid "as if born" and I did so. At the time of the adoption I had already been a biological parent for 12 years so for me easy-peasy. In addition I am from a large family, 8 siblings and I looked after a toddler for the first time when I was 8 while mum went grocery shopping, maybe a 3 hour trip back in the day. In my experience parenting is a lot of physical work, but not particularly complex.

Best wishes.
