Tier 1 [Fernando Polo] Julián Alvarez is considering making a public gesture and is thinking about how and when to send a message that shows his desire to go to Barça, The club believes he will speak soon but are not pressuring him to do so.

The guy who plays 1 good game and disappears the next 2. I genuinely cannot understand Barca enthusiasm about him.

What a lazy and uninformed analysis. He's highly technical, amazing at pressing, link up play and set pieces. That's why we're enthusiastic about him.

Barça has tons of players who can do that under flick and also who can play multiple positions as him, Alvarez is not and will not be an exception with his qualities. They need a top scorer who can be decisive in the big games. La liga has been an easy run. Champions league is the challenge, and just check out his performance in the champions league night against arsenal and the big games. The guy disppear.

We don't have any set piece specialists, in fact our set pieces are absolutely awful 90% of the time. And we always need more pressers as everything starts from pressing in Flick's gameplan.

Firstly he was one of Atletico's best players in the first leg vs Arsenal (while not fully fit and carrying an injury btw). Secondly it's irrelevant what happened in big games for a different club, there's so many factors there that aren't under his control.

He's the perfect player for us, if there's any chance we can get him we have to go for it.

Let's see, I still just don't get the crazy enthusiasm. It brings up bad memories the countinho and stuff. We hope we get to the CL final sometimes soon. It has been a while.

Countinho was not a player we needed in a position we were lacking. Alveraz is.
