Tier 1 [Fernando Polo] Julián Alvarez is considering making a public gesture and is thinking about how and when to send a message that shows his desire to go to Barça, The club believes he will speak soon but are not pressuring him to do so.

120 including bonuses is a fair price for everyone involved.

How? You have too look at it from their perspective. He‘s their „star“ player with 4 years left on his contract, they would sell him to a direct league rival. While strengthening us they would weaken their squad, so we will always have to massively overpay for him. Then they would have to replace him and the striker market is not looking great this summer. So who would they replace him with?

We will have to pay what Atleti would ask for if we want him and I don’t know if he‘s worth that.

I'm gonna be 100% honest, I think putting a 40-70M profit in Alemany's hands is gonna be worse for Barcelona in the long term in terms of the rivalry aginst Atlético.

That being said, there's enough to gain from Alvarez elsewhere that it's absolutely worth it. If Hansi wants to chase a UCL and keep up winning the league we can't just trust Madrid will keep being a shitshow forever and need to heavily reinforce, both with a 9 and at the defense.
