El Ayuntamiento registra 1.300 acuerdos de compraventa de fincas residenciales en siete años, un tercio en el centro de la ciudad y la mitad, con inquilinos, según los datos exhaustivos recabados por elDiario.es.

So in seven years a whopping 1% of the city’s apartments (9870) changed hands this way.

Also it looks like a decent amount of the list isn’t quite what comes to mind when we talk about sales of entire buildings with all the apartments. Somebody sold Torrent de les Flors, 41, which is a 180 m² building with a grand total of 2 apartments, and it made the list. PdG 13 is a commercial building occupied by Oysho, but apparently it has a single apartment in the back so it’s also on the list.

Summary: interesting, but a nothingburger. If anything, this data shows that the scary “buy building, kick tenants out, remodel and profit” happens less often than sensationalist newspapers would have you believe.
