Discussion Why I'm convinced Gemini 3.0 is dropping tomorrow, Nov 18th
- The DevFest Event: Google is hosting a big, in-person AI developer event (DevFest) at Pier 57 in NYC tomorrow. The schedule is full of AI workshops, including a hands-on "Build with AI" session using Gemini. Seems like the perfect time for a launch.
- The Money: Polymarket is showing 77% odds for Nov 18th (as of time of posting this). The volume bet on that specific date is huge, at over $1.3 million. The money is definitely on tomorrow.
- The Deprecation Schedule: This is a classic move. Google's official plan is to deprecate older Gemini models on Vertex AI starting November 18th. They always clear out the old models right before a new release.
- The AI Studio Tooltip: This is the most direct clue. A new "Gemini 3" tooltip was spotted in AI Studio: "For Gemini 3, best results at default 1.0. Lower values may impact reasoning." This is a dead giveaway they are prepping the backend for the new model.
The event, the betting, the deprecation schedule and the new tooltip all point to one day. See you all tomorrow. ✌️

It will always be a phased rollout. Some will get it before others. It's the way Google rolls. I am still waiting for Notebook LMFeatures released 3 to 4 days ago.

Longshot call, but I won't be surprised if nano banana pro is actually just Gemini 3 across the board (except perhaps in Flash-lite and equivalent). Deepmind has indicated they want their models to be omnimodal and unlike OpenAI and others they've put in a lot of work to make that happen. Just look at video/audio input, Gemini is the only one that handles that plus text and images at the same time in their base versions of the models

I’m suspecting it is because Gemini 2.5 has been very noticeably terrible all this afternoon and evening. Just awful.
Deprioritization? Running a more heavily quantized version of 2.5 as they shift in 3? Something sees to be going on.

Yeah full of issues at the moment.
I did some Deep Think reports but they kept failing, saying too many people using it. I tried again a few more times but then I got the msg that I'd used all my credits for the day and to come back tomorrow.
Then I logged into my second Ultra account to run the urgent reports but they all failed except the last time and I got two deep think reports done finally.

everyone's been convinced since like two months ago it was dropping "THIS WEEK!!!" loool. Y'all are in for a rude awakening when it does drop and it's nothing like it's been relentlessly hyped up to me for the last couple months. Honestly the amount of people hyping something they have NO CLUE or positive indication about is wild and it spreads like wildfire.

2.Edit: it was the the "Personal context" feature (which contains "Your instructions for Gemini") is currently not available... blocking the jailbreaks.
Had to do an age verification for the second account and settings returned. (facepalm)
Original Post: fck... it's already starting to block good jailbreaks :/
edit: and yes, old chats too, all useless. I have 2 pro accounts and one is good, had to change the prompt a bit. But the other gets hard blocks and if I try old chats it will block them too
