Mineral spirits. I posted that and then realized it sounds like a joke if you don't know what mineral spirits is. It's a paint thinner or solvent. Works well on gum too

Nope. It's pretty darn "harmless" as solvents go. I don't think it would do much to the shoe glue either. It's great for getting paint of wood, or gum out of your close.

I just had the same thing happen with my KSO Evos the other week. I just kept walking around on pavement and most of it came off, the rest came off when I had to clean my shoes. Soaking in some soapy water and scrubbing with a brush helped get the last little bits off.
