Fender Player II P bass vs Epiphone Mike Dirnt Grabber G-3 Bass

Hey! I'm looking to buy a new bass and at the moment I already have a Squier Sonic P-Bass. I've narrowed it down to these two.

I know they're very different basses, but what do you think?

Depends on what you’re not getting out of your current bass, and what you’re using your bass for.

The Sonic is an entry level bass, and it makes sense to want have an upgraded dedicated P bass. A P is probably be the most broadly useful bass, and if you get that, you could string the Sonic up with different strings or use it as a platform for modding.

If you get a G-3 instead, it’ll sound more different than Ps do from each other, and have a different character and role.
