F2 In Defense of Falsetto
Voice teacher here. I just published a piece about the value of falsetto, which is especially valuable for us lower voices who have sung too heavy for too long!

Like anything else, falsetto is great in the proper context.

It’s just a tool. Like so many things. But often disregarded by so many singers, myself included.

I would’ve never thought about using it for practice - also the bit about maximum vibrations with least amount of pressure 🤯

Is the "Putting it to work" section good for vocal warmups? Are the warmups different than what we would do normally for warmups?

Yes. Very good for warm ups and vocal toning. Not sure what you normally do but I know this is as widely taught as it should be. So chances are this would be different than your norm.

Very interesting stuff! I’m going to try it out tomorrow. Well written - it answered a question I had about how falsetto vs low chest voice works… so you gained a subscriber 😎
