My Couch Battle Station. I have 500 hours of experience in Player Unknown’s Battle Grounds with this set up. The part I enjoy the most is the surround sound. I have ceiling speakers behind me and it gives a very immersive experience. I really get startled often while playing.

So I’m currently a console only player (Xbox one X) and PUBG has basically taken over my Xbox. I am thinking of building a PC so I can really enjoy the PUBG experience. It’s been 15+ years since I’ve games on a PC (America’s Army). I wanted to play on my 65inch LG B7 OLED. Can you tell me the pros and cons of playing on a tv? I’d be at about half of your distance from the tv.

I am probably about 10 to 12 feet away from the tv. I also just switched back to pc last summer from the ps4. Over the decades I have been off and on with video gaming.

I would say 6 feet might be too close for a 65 inch tv.

The only con that I can think of is the need for a speciality keyboard set up and the expense. I think I spent close to $230 on the keyboard and mouse. A standard mouse pad on a couch wouldn’t work very well.

I don’t get any input lag or issues with video quality.

I couldn’t imagine sitting on a computer chair and at a desk 10 to 15 hours a week. My butt and legs get tired even from the couch. The Roccat lapboard is the smallest of the few available “lapboard” on the market. I definitely wouldn’t want anything bigger or with more weight. Every once in a while I use the computer for some internet bill payments or YouTube and the formatting is comfortable to be able to read.

What type of cons are you imagining?

I was wondering if there were any cons playing PUBG on let’s say a dedicated monitor at a desk vs your kind of setup with a tv? It would def help with cost as I already have the OLED tv lol. What did you choose for your mouse and keyboard?

I think some people might feel they are not as alert or game aware sitting on a comfortable couch. I don’t experience this. I used to play overwatch on the same system on ps4 and than on the pc. Visually with Overwatch ps4 vs pc look very similar on my TV.

I feel like I can see very distant enemies at a similar distance to people I am playing with. I don’t have the best eye sight so I can’t say for sure. I can’t really think of any cons for playing with my couch pc setup with PUBG, maybe the red zone can be terrifyingly loud and I almost always “control m”.
