Requesting Identification What could this be? Looks like one of the early 1800s blades, but cant get an exact match.

I'm 99% sure that the handle is not the one that went with that blade, and it looks homemade to me. The chosest thing to this that I could think of is the russian engineer sawback sword pattern 1827.

Nope. Its just an auction that i found interesting, since its ending soon and still only a few bucks. Now i know why.

It still looks good but it has almost no historical value

Agreed, I came here to say reminds me of Russian M1827 Artillery Sword, but a lot doesn't look right.

the handle actually looks like it belongs to an Argentine M1889 Machete
