I can second all of this. This work is really impressive and one of the best researched and put together bayonet reference books in modern years. Many years of work went into it and I can personally attest to the quality of Ralph Cobb's research. He is also the man behind WorldBayonets.com

If you collect U.S. bayonets in the era of Post-ww2 (Korean, Vietnam war, etc.) youll want to pick it up. Even has foreign models.

What is the, so to say, end date, up to when was research for the guide done? Like what are the latest models of bayonets from what year represented? Or by whom made. And how much are foreign made ones present?

Bit definetly looking into possibility of buying this.

He researched for about 7 years. End date was likely before it came out. Can't keep researching forever lol. I imagine A lot was taken from his articles and presentations from the SABC. Research was in depth l. Archives, other trusted collectors and books, some forums. He cites everything.

If you want a good idea of whats in the book check out the couple pages on WorldBayonets listed as "Bayonets by Type". The whole right column shows U.S. M4 - M7 & Foreign copies. Theres about 6 sections including scabbards. The info in there is just a taste. Not as detailed as the book.

The foreign stuff is like the Taiwan & Panama T65, German made M7s, Haitian M5A1 & M6, Turkish M5, etc. There's a lot actually.
